TDC's season runs from September through June. During this time the Company rehearses regularly, dancers participate in minimum of 15 hours of weekly technique classes (ballet, modern, Pointe, lyrical jazz, hip hop, contemporary and tap), monthly master classes with prominent guest artists, community and regional performance venues, symposiums, opportunities for creating dance choreography, annual concert series, and the experience to work with nationally acclaimed choreographers.
During the summer months, in July and August, intensive study and a variety of additional performance opportunities are offered.
Since the inception of Teen Dance Company, members have been awarded many dance scholarships and choreography awards at both regional and national levels; students have been accepted into prestigious dance programs offered by Juilliard, San Francisco Ballet, Alonzo King's Lines Ballet, and Jacob's Pillow; alumnae are currently pursuing dance studies at UCLA, SUNY Purchase, Boston Conservatory, UC Irvine, Loyola Marymount, and Chapman University.
Both Company members and alumnae have made professional appearances with companies such as Take Dance Company (New York) and Bluglisi-Forman, Celine Dion's Las Vegas-based A New Day show, MKF Altered Modalities, and in national commercials, television and film.

Brittany is a Senior at Evergreen Valley High School. Currently she is very active in Leadership and enjoys organizing and planning, "Battle of the Classes", as well as producing choreography for different events. This is Brittany's 4th and final year at TDC. She is thankful for such an amazing staff, and has made many friendships along the way. It will be hard to say goodbye.

Brittany has been dancing for 11 years. It's her 2nd year with TDC and is loving it. She has won many regional/national dance titles and scholarships and is currently a member of Tremaine Dance Company and most recently awarded the Junior Protege for the Pulse where she will be assisting accomplished choreographers all over the nation.

Dancing since the age of three, Jackie is now a Sophomore in high school. Jackie has won many regional and national awards and scholarships from conventions including L.A. Elite, Company Dance, Jump, and the regional title at West Coast Dance Explosion. This is her 6th year on TDC, and she is looking forward to working with new choreographers and teachers.

Gabby is an honor roll Sophomore attending Adrian Wilcox High School. Gabby has been training in dance for 13 years. Although her favorite forte and genre of dance is tap, Gabby wants to pursue training in all other areas of dance to become a well rounded dancer-performer. Gabby spent this past summer mastering her craft at the LA Tap Fest at Debbie Allen's Dance Academy training under Chloe Arnold and Jason Samuels Smith. This is an exciting 2nd year at TDC for Gabby, she has been given the opportunity to choreograph a tap piece.

Kendall was a member of Dance Attack and Starz before TDC. As a kid, she won a Kids Dance LA scholarship, and appeared on Mountain View TV. In 2006 Kendall won a hip-hop scholarship at Jump and last year she was given the Rockette award at NYCDA. As a Senior in high school, Kendall is on a student council and participates in two dance teams at school. She hopes to continue her dance studies in college.

In the past two years, TDC has helped Karen in achieving some of the most prestigious awards, including recent awards like Olympiad of the Arts 2007 Winner and 2007 National Performer of the Year at the Pulse Nationals in New York, both with her own original choreography. Karen is a Senior this year, and is currently ASB Vice President.

Allison is a Freshman honor roll student at Monte Vista High where she enjoys singing in the choir and participating on the school dance team. Allison has been dancing since the age of 3 and has won numerous awards and scholarships. After competing for the past 6 years, Allison is excited about focusing on her dance training in the non-competitive environment at TDC.

This is Judson's 4th year at TDC. Judson participates in the student choreography program TDC offers and enjoys working with his fellow dancers. His dance experience during the summer of 2007 consisted of training at The Juilliard School, and competing at NYCDA Nationals winning first runner-up for Outstanding Teen Male dancer. He has also won regional scholarships at multiple conventions.

Emily is a Senior at Menlo-Atherton. She has been dancing since age three and loves being part of TDC for the past 4 yrs. Emily has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip-hop and modern. She received a scholarship to the EDGE in Hollywood and LADF and was Clara in Dance Connection's The Nutcracker. Although she is sad to leave TDC, she can not wait to see where dance takes her after high school.

Ian has been dancing since he was four. He's trained in tap, ballet, jazz, modern and hip-hop. In 2004, Ian won a junior outstanding dancer scholarship to the NYCDA finals in New York. He earned the NYCDA first runner-up Junior Male National Outstanding Dancer award. He has been on TDC since 2002, and has been enjoying the many different choreographers and challenges. |

Emma Gonzalez-Beban Age: 15

|
Emma is a sophomore at Mountain View High School and this is her 3rd year with TDC. She is also a member of "Folklorico Nacional Mexicano Juvenil" in San Jose and participates in the dance program at MVHS. She plans on studying dance in College and hopes to have a career in dance.

Shenandoah Harris Age: 13
|
|
Shenandoah has been dancing since the age of 3. She started in Denver, Colorado where she danced at various studios including Michele Latimer and Cleo Parker Robinson. Last summer she was cast in the lead role in a performing arts summer program on Stanford Campus. This is her 3rd year at TDC and she loves it.

Chelsea Henriques age: 15
|
|
Chelsea has been dancing for 11 yrs, but this is her 1st year with TDC. She is a Sophomore in high school and is an honor student as well. Chelsea went to Florida to represent California in the teen division and has won many awards for her choreography.

Kelly has been dancing since the age of four. She started in Dayton, Ohio at South Dayton Dance Studio taking ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and Pointe dance classes. She performed in numerous recitals and performances, including 9 performances in the Nutcracker. Kelly is a Sophomore at Menlo School and joined TDC in March of 2006.

Maggie is a Senior at Milpitas High School and has been dancing for fourteen years. Prior to joining TDC two years ago, Maggie danced for the Adage Repertory Jr Company. After leaving TDC this year, she plans on continuing her dance training at the college level. Maggie also plays trumpet in her high school's jazz band and orchestra.

Meghan a 7th grader, has been dancing since she was three. After dancing competitively with "On Your Toes" for many years, Meghan studied with Western Ballet and performed in several ballets. She was the youngest dancer with the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance this past summer. In her second year with TDC, Meghan enjoys working with the many different choreographers.

New to the company, Rena enjoys the abundant opportunities that TDC offers. Although ballet and contemporary are her favorites, she enjoys performing all types and wishes to become more familiar with different styles. Prior to joining TDC, she trained at East*West Dance & Music where she discovered her passion. Currently, Rena looks forward to continue dancing in College.

Alexandra has been dancing for eight years., this year is her 1st year with Teen Dance Company. She is a seventh grader at Stone Valley Middle School. Alexandra has won many dance awards and scholarships at competitions and conventions. Although Alexandra loves jazz, she is enjoying the many dance styles offered at TDC.

Ryan is a Sophomore honor roll student. Dance and choreography are her passion. Along with her training and performing, she enjoys teaching classes and developing choreography for other dancers. In 2007 Ryan was awarded top honors for her solo choreography, fourteen scholarships and five dance titles which include; Pulse Nationals Teen Performer of the Year, and the Paula Morgan scholarship training in Italy.

Madeline is a 7th grade honor student at Cupertino Middle School. She has been dancing since the age of three and this is her 3rd year at TDC. Madeline's favorite style of dance is tap. In recent years, she has attended Slide and Tap Kids in New York and the LA Tap Festival. She has been inspired by all amazing tappers that she has been fortunate to have taken classes with. |

Lauren has been dancing for 16 years. Receiving many prestigious scholarships including, American Ballet Theater's International Training Scholarship for three years, Ballet San Jose offered her a scholarship for 2 years, and numerous dance convention scholarships. She has been asked to make guests appearances for Sacramento Ballet and San Jose Dance Theater. Participating in as many performances as she can Lauren loves the freedom of dance, and the stage.

Mari started dancing at age 3 and has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip-hop, with tap as her favorite. She is enjoying her 2nd year with TDC and looks forward to this year's performances.

Lindsay began dancing at age seven and has won titles and numerous scholarships including an opportunity to train in Italy. She spent this past summer in New York attending the Alvin Ailey Institute of Dance and the previous summer at the San Francisco Conservatory of Ballet. Lindsay plans to study dance in college and is very optimistic about her future.

Sabrina is a Sophomore at Mountain View High. She has been dancing for three years, training in many styles including ballet, tap and jazz. Sabrina also loves to sing and is a member of MVHS's Acapella choir. This is her 3rd year on TDC, and she is excited to have the opportunity to work with such amazing dancers and choreographers.

Christina has been dancing since she was 4 yrs old. She loves to tap and is enjoying her new experience at TDC. Christina is a sixth grader at Stone Valley Middle School. Christina has won many scholarships and awards at competitions and conventions including high point tap soloist and Jr. Soloist at iHollywood Dance this past summer. |

Shivani Parikh Age: 9
Shivani is 9 years old and is a 4th grade student at Escondido Elementary School in Palo Alto. She has been dancing since she was a young child and is enjoying her 3rd year with TDC. Shivani is training in many types of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and modern. She is thoroughly enjoying the experiences and challenges that Teen Dance Company offers and hopes to continue her growth and development in dance. |
