TDC's season runs from September through June. During this time the Company rehearses regularly, dancers participate in minimum of 15 hours of weekly technique classes (ballet, modern, Pointe, lyrical jazz, hip hop, contemporary and tap), monthly master classes with prominent guest artists, community and regional performance venues, symposiums, opportunities for creating dance choreography, annual concert series, and the experience to work with nationally acclaimed choreographers.
During the summer months, in July and August, intensive study and a variety of additional performance opportunities are offered.
Since the inception of Teen Dance Company, members have been awarded many dance scholarships and choreography awards at both regional and national levels; students have been accepted into prestigious dance programs offered by Juilliard, San Francisco Ballet, Alonzo King's Lines Ballet, and Jacob's Pillow; alumnae are currently pursuing dance studies at UCLA, SUNY Purchase, Boston Conservatory, UC Irvine, Loyola Marymount, and Chapman University.
Both Company members and alumnae have made professional appearances with companies such as Take Dance Company (New York) and Bluglisi-Forman, Celine Dion's Las Vegas-based A New Day show, MKF Altered Modalities, and in national commercials, television and film.

Brittany is 15 years old and a sophomore at MCHS where she is an honor student and in Varsity Song/Cheer. This is Brittany's 4th year with TDC and loving every minute of it. Her passion for dance has won her numerous awards and scholarships. Currently Brittany is busy traveling all over the nation with the Pulse On Tour as their Elite Protege assisting their prestigious faculty.

Andree is a freshman and honor student at The Harker School. This is her second year as a member of TDC. She has won numerous awards and scholarships at competitions and conventions. She loves all of the different styles that TDC offers, though her passions are modern, jazz, and tap.

Gabby is an honor roll senior attending Adrian Wilcox High School. This is her 4th and final year with TDC. Her favorite genre of dance is tap, but is definitely taking on a challenge in choreographing a contemporary piece for 2nd stage this year. Gabby plans on pursuing college degree's in both Dance/Choreography and Broadcast Journalism. Gabby thanks all her teachers whole-heartedly for shaping and nurturing her in becoming the dancer she is today, she will miss her peers and her 2nd home - TDC!

Jessica is a junior and honor student at Leigh High School. She started dancing at 2 1/2 years old and from the beginning you could tell she had a love for dance. She began dancing competitively at age 6 and has won several awards and scholarships. Jessica has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern and hip-hop. this is her first year with TDC and she loves it. Jessica likes the challenge and level of difficulty the staff offers her, and she loves being a member of the company as well. |

Michaela is a senior in High School. Michaela has strength in many dance styles including ballet, modern, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop and jazz as well as choreography. Some of Michaela's most memorable experiences in dance includes taking a ballet intensive from the legendary Cynthia Gregory and being invited to be her class demonstrator, she has also received training from Muriel Maffre, Lines Ballet, Shelly Pack Dancers with honors, City Ballet and SF School of the Arts. Michaela loves the focus and training and choreography at TDC and the incredible comraderie and respect that all the dancers share. She is looking forward to attending a dance college program next year.

Corrie is a senior at San Mateo High School, and has been dancing for 11 years. She is thrilled to be training alongside talented young artists, and working with an amazing staff. Being a part of TDC has been a true blessing, and Corrie is excited for what her second and final season has in store.

Melissa is a freshman in high school, and is involved in Key Club and Peer Counseling. She has been dancing for 11 years. This is her first year at TDC, and she is enjoying the training provided by the outstanding faculty. Melissa is thrilled to be a new member of TDC, and she is looking forward to a stellar year.

Emma Gonzalez-Beban Age: 17

Emma is a senior at Mountain View High School and this is her 5th year with TDC. She is also a member of "Folklorico Nacional Mexicano, Juvenil" in San Jose where she dances Mexican folk dance. She also participates in the dance program at her school as a dancer, a student teacher and a choreographer. She plans on studying dance in college and pursue a career in dance. |

Chelsea Henriques Age: 17
|
|
Chelsea is 17 years old and a senior in high school. She has been dancing for 13 yrs, and this is her 3rd and final year with TDC. Chelsea has been awarded choreographer ever since she was 9 years old, and still is today across the country. Recently she traveled to Florida and was in the top 10 dancers for Dancer of the year of America and Canada. She has been on "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody", travels and dances in Carlos Reyes's band, and has won many awards and scholarships. Chelsea loves it here at TDC and is looking forward to this year but sad it's her last.

Julian began dancing 12 years ago and loves all dance forms. He has studied with many internationally--renowned tappers, most extensively with Sam Weber, Mark Mendonca and Channing Cooke-Holmes, and world class breakdancers, in particular ReminD. He continues to study with respected local jazz teachers, in particular Keith Banks. He spent three years at Ballet San Jose School, where he performed in several productions with the professional Ballet San Jose Company. He studies with Los Gatos Ballet and performs with them as well. Last summer he attended the American Ballet Theatre summer intensive in New York City. Last year he joined Teen Dance Company to focus his attention on modern and contemporary dance as well as ballet. A sophomore at Los Gatos High, over the years he has won numerous awards and scholarships from regional dance competitions. |

Olivia is a sophomore at Carlmont High School. She has been dancing for nine years and this is her 1st year at TDC. Olivia loves all styles of dance, but tap is her favorite! She loves training with all the teachers, dancers, and choreographers at TDC and is so excited for this year!

Rachel is an 8th grade honor student at Terman Middle School in Palo Alto. She has been dancing for ten years, and enjoys all forms of dance. She has performed with Pacific Ballet of Mountain View and the Moscow Ballet. This is Rachel's first year at TDC and she is thrilled to be a member of the company.

Jocelyn Satterberg Age: 16

Jocelyn has a passion for dance and joins TDC with a well rounded training in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, contemporary, and hip-hop. Tap has been a long time favorite. In this area, she has won many dance convention scholarships, and specialty awards. She is a junior at Los Gatos High School. She is connected to her school with dance by the LGHS Dance team. This has given her the opportunity to have her hand in choreography, music editing, and teaching. She is excited to be a part of TDC and this year focusing on technique.

Madeline has been dancing since the age of three and this is her 5th year with TDC. She is currently a freshman at Homestead High School in Cupertino. This year Madeline is involved with the Equestriettes' dance team at Homestead. Although Madeline is busy with her high school dance team, she is very grateful to be able to continue her dance training with all the great teachers at TDC. |

Mari is a sophomore in high school and dances with her school company. She started dancing at age 3 and has been trained in many styles with tap as her favorite. This is her 4th year at TDC and is grateful to be able to work with TDC's outstanding teachers and choreographers. She had a great time performing with TDC at the "Dance Under The Stars" choreography festival in Palm Desert in November. She loves being at TDC and is looking forward to all of this year's performances.

Gracie is a sophomore at Stevenson High School, and is enjoying her first year with TDC. She has been dancing for ten years at several dance studios and has studied ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and latin styles. At a younger age, Gracie participated in several theater productions and Shakespeare Santa Cruz, exposing her to a professional environment. She is excited to start her training with TDC, in hopes to continue dancing into college.

Alex is a sophomore at Saint Francis High School. She has been dancing since she started walking. She is trained in all styles of dance, but lights up the stage with her passion for contemporary, hip-hop and musical theater. While this is her first year with TDC, she already feels part of the company and loves dancing with such a talented group of pre-professional dancers. She has won many solo and performance team awards at competitions and conventions. She attributes her dance technique to wonderful instructors, Keith Banks, Michelle Crivello, and the faculty at Bates Dance Festival, and the source of her inspiration and influence is her sister, Danielle. |
